Hank Perera, Jr. founded Perera Construction and Design, Inc. in 1989. To understand why and how it has become one of Southern California’s most successful and recognized commercial general contractors requires an understanding of the founding principles and enduring values.
Since the day the doors opened in 1989, the people of Perera have worked with a customer-focused concern for quality. The results are long-term relationships that lead to both repeat business and referrals to new customers.
Hank Perera explains:
“We think long-term. We know that if we are honest about what we can deliver, and we keep our promises, our customers will both return and recommend us to others.
"Simple? Yes. Idealistic? Maybe. Effective? Very! This approach has led to steady growth for almost 25 years, low turnover among key employees and staff, and customer loyalty from many of the leading companies and organizations in our areas of expertise.”
Initially focusing on health care and energy projects, Perera quickly earned a reputation for honesty and high-quality work. By the early 90s, well established in the healthcare and energy markets, Perera began accepting projects in two other rapidly growing fields: telecommunications and higher education. Expanding steadily, until it is now licensed in 4 Western States, Perera still counts among its loyal clients many who have been actively working with the company for 20 years and more over numerous projects.
The Perera team relishes taking on complex projects, large and small, creatively meeting the challenges such projects present, and doing things right the first time.
Perera Construction and Design is now one of the most recognized and respected commercial general contractors in Southern California and one of the largest Hispanic owned businesses in the United States.
To build enduring relationships one project at a time.
